This is a free tool with no account and no payment. Using it means accepting what follows. If you do not accept it, do not use the site.

What the service does

It runs four independent checks on details you supply about a supplier: a VAT registration lookup, an IBAN structure and checksum test, a name-similarity screen against the EU consolidated sanctions list, and DNS checks on a sending domain. Each returns its own result.

What it is not

• It is not advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax or compliance advice, and it is not a substitute for your own due diligence or for professional advice.
• It is not a verdict. There is deliberately no combined score and no "safe to pay" result. Four checks passing does not mean a payment is safe — the most common invoice fraud passes all four. Confirm bank details by phone, on a number you already had.
• It is not a sanctions determination. A possible match means a name resembles a list entry. Only the version published in the Official Journal of the European Union is authoritative.
• It does not verify account ownership. No public source does. A valid IBAN means correctly formed, nothing more.

Accuracy and availability

Results depend on third-party sources — the European Commission's VIES service, HMRC, the EU consolidated sanctions list, and public DNS. Those sources can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or unavailable, and this site reports what they return. Where a source does not answer, the result says so rather than guessing.

The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind and no guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for any purpose. It may change or stop at any time.

Liability

Decisions you take after using this site are yours. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its results — including any payment made or withheld. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Acceptable use

• Checks are rate limited to 20 per IP address per hour. Do not attempt to work around that, whether by scripting, distributing requests, or otherwise.
• Do not use the site to build a competing dataset, to bulk-screen lists of people or companies, or in any way that breaches the terms of the underlying data sources.
• Do not submit details you have no legitimate reason to check, and do not use results to harass, defame or discriminate against anyone.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the service or gain unauthorised access to it.

Result links

A saved result has an unlisted link: anyone holding it can read it. Share it only with people who should see it. Saved results are deleted after 90 days.

Your data

What is and is not stored is set out on theprivacy page, which forms part of these terms. In short: no account, no full IBAN, and saved results expire.

Reporting a security issue

Emailsecurity@vetthisvendor.com. Please include enough detail to reproduce the issue. Reports are welcome and will not be met with legal threats where made in good faith and without accessing other people's data or degrading the service.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
